As I have promised I am posting the first of my BLOGART classes in drawing and painting.
I intend to show my readers how to create a beautiful work of art.
It's not rocket science, so don't freak out!!
To start with, find a photo that pleases you, something that will give you pleasure from working on, but don't be too adventurous.
My preference for this lesson is a figurative subject as the naked body is a great place to start.
The shapes and curves of the female form with inherent shadows has attracted artists from the beginning of art history. You might wish to look at some of the great masters who have painted the human form such as Rubens, Rembrandt, Raphael, Botticelli, Da Vinci and of course Michaelangelo.
Observation in any drawing is everything.
The translation of what you see onto paper or canvass is all important as in your creativity.
